Historic Sites – Touring 2022 Historic Queen Anne’s County Maryland – Opening for 2022
Visit Queen Anne's County's historic train stations, colonial houses, an operating grist mill, a country store, and churches on six First Saturdays when the County's historic sites jointly open their doors to visitors. Admission is free, donations are accepted at all sites. All sites open the First Saturday May-October. 2022 Dates are May 7, June 4th July 2, August 6, September 3, October 1. Join in on May 21st with the Kent Island Heritage Society as they sponsor the Kent Island Day. Returning this year a parade, historic exhibits, music, food vendors, costumes, activities, and more will be part of the day. A Family event . Opening Ceremonies will begin at 10 am. A remembrance of Colonel James Roe and his participation in the War of 1812 will be held June 4th 2022 in Sudlersville. An unveiling of the new exhibits of Colonel Roe's matching pistols and his original Officer's dress Uniform. The program will include published Author Scott S Sheads, ranger from Ft. McHenry. The Friends of Wye Mill, will be having a Wheat Harvest Festival on Saturday June 18th. Held at the Wye Grist Mill in Wye Mills. Festivities will be from 10 am to 3 pm.
