First Saturdays Free Tours: The Hope School (1892)
Located at 125 Ruthsburg Road (Route 304) in Centreville near Queen Anne's County High School, this one-room schoolhouse may have served African American students grades 1 – 7 as early as 1865. Originally located on Hope Road, the school closed in 1938 and was restored by the Retired Teachers Association.

First Saturdays Free Tours: The Museum of Eastern Shore Life
Located near the birthplace of renowned Revolutionary Era artist Charles Willson Peale at 4-H Park, the museum displays antique farm equipment, artifacts, a dug-out canoe, household furnishings, a print shop, a blacksmith shop, a collection of historical photographs, and much more.
