Step back in time and experience baseball as it was played in the 1860s at the Sudlersville Vintage Base Ball Showdown & Picnic on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Sudlersville Park. This special community event will honor hometown baseball legend Jimmie Foxx and celebrate the rich history of America’s pastime with authentic vintage uniforms, equipment, and rules. Watch the historic matchup between the Eclipse Base Ball Club of Elkton and the Rising Sun Base Ball Club, enjoy food vendors, hot dogs, live music from the Blake Thompson Family Band, exhibits, historians, and family-friendly activities. The picnic begins at 1:00 PM, followed by an opening ceremony at 2:15 PM and first pitch at 3:00 PM. Bring your family, lawn chairs, and community spirit for an afternoon of history, baseball, and hometown pride. Admission is free and all are welcome!
