In 1868, Wesley Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church was built on this site. Ten years later, a larger church, Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church, was constructed on the same site. In 1947, five years after the Methodist South churches all closed, the Sudlersville Memorial Library opened here. Enjoy a free tour and learn a little more about the history of Sudlersville, incorporated in 1870 but dating back to 1740.
