Day of the Dead is bsed on the Mexican belief that our departed loved ones come back to earth to be with us every year in joyful celebrations that typically last for three days. It includes enjoying pan Dulce with Mexican hot chocolate, craft projects, food and cultural histories, music and dancing. A series of these events will take place throughout the count and culminate in a final gathering.

In recognition of our Mexican community’s special remembrance celebration, QAC Arts Council and Compass Regional Hospice are hosting a true celebration of life that helps to not only affirm memories, joy and color, but also embraces a custom of honoring passed family, friends and ancestors.  Learn and experience the gifts of family history, creating meaningful keepsakes, food and music. The program will engage both the Latino and non-Latino population in the education and understanding of the cultural tradition.
