11th Annual Get Pumped for Pets 5K/10K/15K

This unique event raises money for animals in need on Maryland’s eastern shore. Please join the Kent Island Running Group in helping the animals by signing up to run any of three USATF certified-distance courses along the beautiful Cross-Island Trail on Kent Island.
All participants (including virtual ones) will receive a t-shirt and finishing medal. For those participating in person, unique handmade awards will be given to the first-place finisher in each age group, masters, and overall at the live event.
The 15K distance is registered as one of the 2021 Maryland Grand Prix Series races. The Grand Prix Series is hosted by the Maryland chapter of the Road Runners Club of America. Runners who run four (4) or more races qualify for awards which are given out at the following year’s RRCA Club Challenge in Columbia.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
While the plan is that this race will be a live event, contingencies will be in place to respond to any state and local protocols that may be in place on race day. Contingencies include wearing masks before and after the race, a staggered start based on pace (fastest runners starting first), a show ‘n go event with a flexible morning start time, or a 100% virtual event. If you know your pace, please let us know through the sign up process so we can be better prepared to keep you safe.
