Celebrate the 4th of July on the Kent Narrows Waterfront!

Queen Anne’s County Annual Fireworks and Family Fun Celebration is scheduled for July 4th at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy dinner, time spent with family and a fireworks show from the lawn on the visitor’s center grounds! Free parking is available at the old Kent Narrows outlets (59 Piney Narrows Rd., Chester). Handicap parking and complimentary shuttle service will be available.

Time: FREE parking opens at 5:30 pm

Shuttle starts: 5:30 pm

Family fun starts: 6:00 pm

Fireworks: 9:15 pm

Food: Food trucks/vendors include:

  • BBQ Bueno
  • Team Autism
  • Queen Anne/Hillsboro Fire Company
  • Rita’s on Kent Island
  • Jack Frost-Shaved Ice Snowballs
  • Sudlersville Ruritan-Funnel Cakes

 You may also bring a cooler (no alcohol permitted on county property).

For the Kids: FREE face painting, balloon twist, and bounce houses.

Closures: Ferry Point Park including the walking bridge will be closed at sunrise July 3 until noon July 5. If the fireworks are rained out on July 4th the park will remain closed until July 6th.

The Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center parking lot will also be closed to the public beginning at 7:00 AM on Sunday, July 4th for event set-up.

The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff will have multiple detours in place starting at 8:00 pm till the end of the event and traffic has subsided.

**Although most COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted we still ask that you stay home if you have tested positive or are waiting results**
