St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

301 S. Liberty St., Centreville

While St. Paul’s Parish was officially established in 1692, the original parish church (Chester Church) was built between 1640 and 1660 outside of Centreville, with a second church built there in 1697.  In 1834, some of the old Chester Church bricks were used in the building of the new church, which was expanded in 1855 and again in 1892.  The church is known for its beautiful stained glass windows and works of art by parishioners.  The site is open for touring the 1st Saturday of every month May – October from 10-2pm.
