Matapeake Landing includes Matapeake Fishing Pier and Boat Ramp. An alternative fishing site is Romancoke Fishing Pier. Other nearby boat ramps include Shipping Creek Landing, Kent Narrows Landing and eight other boat ramps in Queen Anne’s County.

The paving project is part of an ongoing preventative maintenance effort for county facilities. Matapeake Landing is a state-owned property that is leased and managed by Queen Anne’s County. The paving project is 100% funded by a Maryland Department of Natural Resources Waterway Improvement Grant.
