Matapeake Beach & Clubhouse
Once served as the ferry terminal before the Gov. William Preston Lane Jr. (Chesapeake Bay Bridge) was built. The beach grounds encompass a historic well-preserved clubhouse, outdoor amphitheater, public swimming beach, wooded trails and a public dog park for four-legged companions. The Island Dog Park has two fenced areas; one for little dogs another for larger breeds. Each is equipped with agility equipment for your dog’s pleasure. The park also offers benches, picnic tables, and a water fountain designed to serve both people and dogs! Hunt for sea glass here.
