One of Queen Anne’s County oldest most outstanding businessmen, former Maryland State Senator (1898, 1904) boat captain and farmer. He is most notable for successfully leading a nearly 500 local man march to Washington to protest Kent Island becoming a government proving ground (which alternatively located in Aberdeen). His home once served as a conduit for lumber, coal and a general store. Experience the atmosphere of a country store from the 1800’s and Senator Kirwan family air looms.
