Grab your binoculars and explore magnificent ponds, marsh, forest and shoreline. Attend educational lecture series on the environment, or take self or guided hikes of the nature trails. Enjoy guided kayak trips, or rent your own for the day! The facility also acts as a portal for visitors to admire the local culture through rotating art exhibits.

Wye Island Natural Resources Management Area

Located in the tidal recesses of the Chesapeake Bay between the Wye River and the Wye East River. Wildlife viewing, hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding are popular activities on Wye Island’s six miles of trails.

Fun Fact: Wye Island houses a Holly Tree that is more than 290 years old!
