1. Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC)
Explore the outdoors at CBEC, a 510-acre nature center located in Grasonville, MD offering adventure-based learning that contributes to the conservation of the Chesapeake Bay. We suggest trying out the CBEC GPS Adventure. This individual and family learning adventure allows participants to use GPS skills to follow a course adventuring through the grounds of the nature center. Participants may choose from multiple themed course topics, learning along the way! Each course is tailored to different learning levels. You will get the chance to solve puzzles and mazes, while testing your navigational skills. This program combines the fun of games, escape rooms, treasure hunts, obstacle courses, and geocaching! Courses available for kids age 2nd grade to 12th grade.
CBEC also has much to offer the water enthusiast! With their ideal location on a peninsula, they offer visitors kayak and stand up paddle board rentals to glide around Marshy Creek and enjoy the serenity of the Bay. The property is amazingly biodiverse– from ospreys and eagles to river otters and sting rays–you’re sure to spot a variety of wildlife on your paddling excursion. Don’t forget your binoculars and camera! Guided kayak tours are also available.
2. Cross Island Trail
Grab your bikes or lace up your walking shoes and enjoy the view while exploring Kent Island’s family friendly Cross Island Trail. Once the rail corridor through Kent Island, this 7 mile protected trail spans from Terrapin Nature Park to the Kent Narrows Waterfront wandering through farmlands, meadows, and woods accented with ornamental trees. Flanked by park benches, the trail crosses several creeks with wooden bridges, offering a spectacular view of waterfowl and wetlands. This is a relatively flat, well-maintained paved trail that is suitable for all ages and abilities.

3. Patriot Acres Farm Brewery
A veteran owned and operated brewery located just outside of Sudlersville, MD. They employ hops and other ingredients from their 100 acre farm that has been in the family for over a century! Their goal is to provide visitors good craft beer and an enjoyable atmosphere on a working farm. The quite setting that Patriot Acres offers in the perfect place to spend time with your family! In addition to their delicious craft beer and cider, while at the farm you’ll enjoy lawn games, barrel train rides, a large playground area for the kids, farm animals, food trucks, live music and more! There is something for all ages!

4. Tasty Toucan
Tasty Toucan located in Historic Stevensville serves handmade ice cream and pops made from all-natural ingredients sourced right here on the Eastern Shore! Fresh fruit, organic sugar, and ice cream from local cows gives an incredible, creamy texture and fullness of flavor you won’t find anywhere else. So go ahead, have a seat outside, and play a game of checkers. Gather the family and challenge them to giant Jenga. Good times and laughter are required at Tasty Toucan!
