Winter in Queen Anne’s County is a season like no other. Already a picturesque paradise, becomes even more magnificent in the chilly months. The busy months are now behind us, the crowds have dispersed and the tranquility and peace of the county sets in. We can’t always promise you snowfall, but when this snow does blanket the ground here, it’s an authentic winter wonderland. A getaway here can surely provide personalized hospitality, and incredible amenities, a perfect antidote to that wintertime stress.  Here in Queen Anne’s County enjoy a time of unique beauty, fewer crowds, and many activities! Offering visitors everything from snow-covered trails to festive holiday events in all of our towns, unplug and recharge away from the busy summer crowds and enjoy life’s simplest pleasures!

  1. Enjoy a boat to table experience & crack into some fresh caught oysters. Visit our waterfront restaurants serving oysters in a variety of different ways!
  2. Birdwatching is truly a great experience during the winter months. Enjoy this experience at Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
  3. The onset of chilly weather welcomes waterfowl season! Enjoy a guided waterfowl hunt or explore a sporting clay course at either The Point at Pintail or Schrader’s Outdoors.
  4. Holiday Celebrations throughout all of our towns!
  5. Explore holiday decorated store fronts and Historic sites in Downtown Stevensville and Downtown Centreville
  6. Road Trips: take the scenic Harriet Tubman byway, which has more than 30 sites along the Eastern Shore
  7. Holiday Shopping: Shop Local, Shop Small!
  8. Walk through our Museum at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center!
  9. Enjoy a winter getaway at one of our Bed & Breakfast!
  10. Explore our trails, the perfect time to get out and enjoy the beautiful landscapes we offer here in an entirely new way!
